Will You? God Will

All through my Christian walk I have seen His hand in many aspects of the lives of my friends and even personally. Many things I just can not explain how God did it but He did and He does.One case in point was a very bad auto accident was in with my freshly repainted and restored 1979 Ford Fiesta. The fireman said that if it had not been for the sunroof more than likely I would have died as my head was sticking out of a collapsed sunroof. (see photo) Thus I like the phrase in Acts chapter one verse two where it reads “many infallible proofs” for that describes how God has demonstrated that He is indeed alive and not dead as many may say. But I am not here today to tell you about how I know He is real in my life. Instead I want to tell you that many times in life He uses people to get things done.

What I am about to share with you will tale the work of His people to get this task done, But before I tell you any more allow me to share with you a picture. The house you see is a three bedroom two and a half bath home in what is registered as in Holly Michigan. Yet it lays less than two miles from Faith City Church on Thompson Road. Now here is the story about this certain place:

Back about eight months ago I seen this house for sale and dismissed it as I would had rather had a nice ranch styled home. About a week ago a sister in the faith seen his very same house and believed that this is the house for me. I told her nothing about this location until she had her say. Then the question arose, why would God show me the house eight months ago and now again through someone else in the faith unless His hand was included in it.

Pardon me now but here is where the faith of those in the Christ Jesus needs to come into play: The cost of the house is a mere $200000 not including closing costs, taxes and so forth. Thus we are believing the Lord will come through with at least $300000 plus costs to buy needed furniture and cleanup costs of the barns and so forth. Fact of the matter is as follows. I do not have that kind of money laying about in any bank or even in my wallet, neither does any of my friends in the faith. However God does have such funds and even more to cap it off. This would be the ideal location for Thunderdome Ministries Network Inc to help Christian men in need of temporary housing.

With all the above said I wonder if you have the faith to see this as not only my first house but a place where the work of the Lord could proceed as God sees fit. Mind you this is less than two miles from the church and out in the country.. This would make it very hard for any person to reach out to ones past. Instead it would allow a person a fresh start, a second chance if you will. After all how many second chances has God given to you and members on your family? Thus the question is as follows: will you be a part of a ministry that desires to help people? Will you reach out and touch the hands of someone you don’t even know? Will you perhaps even go as far as becoming a sponsor?

I am not asking you for a million dollars, not even ten thousand dollars to help buy this house lock stock and barrel. Making it a debt free piece of property. However I am asking you to give as the Holy Spirit leads you in order to make this all reality.

For countless ages the Word of the Lord has been preached to hundred of thousands of people. They preach of things like health, wealthy and prosperity all which is a good thing. And furthermore it is exactly what you want to hear. In 2nd Timothy 4:3 & 4 it would sound like this; For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Thus, Satan has professing Christians right where he wants them. And that is not producing the fruit they are intended to produce. However, should we place all the blame on Satan? Of course not! Instead Christians are also to blame. For they would rather run to their remote and click on a sporting event or some demonic movie that be exposed to the truth and the facts of what they are really to be doing.

The late Keith Green knew he had a job to do and it was found in Ephesians 5: 11 which reads “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Before his untimely death on July 28, 1982 he went about telling the elect of God what they were to be doing. When brother Keith and his son died in the plane crash the Christian community not only lost a real man of God, not just a father, not just a minister of the Word but indeed a prophet of God. And since then not one person has been willing to take up the cause and tell the millions of Christians what they really need to hear.

So let us start with a basic fact straight from God’s Holy Word. Once you accepted Jesus into your life your world changed a great deal. Not only did your spiritual citizenship change so did your kingdom. You got moved from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. You also moved into the realm of re-education; for you see you were never educated while you lived in the kingdom of darkness there was no need for you to learn anything and Satan wanted you to live in ignorance. Once you moved out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light you education began and your text book is nothing more that Gods Holy Word. For it reads in 2^nd Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

So now you know that you, as God’s people, were called out of darkness into His marvelous light. The next part that you may not truly realize is that you have been planted by the stream of living water as it is written in Psalms 1: 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

As a tree you are to provide a function and that is to bring forth fruit.

For example if you were an apple tree you would not bring froth fruit of a pear, an orange or any other fruit but that of apples. Therefore, as a Christian the fruit you are to bring forth is more Christians. This is what Keith green was shown by the Lord that to many people professing to be Christians as not bring forth more for the kingdom of God!

So what will happen to those not bringing forth more fruit? Let us take a look in John 15 and lets listen to what Jesus Himself had to say; Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Where does God take those who are not bearing fruit? I believe he places them back on the potters wheel to be remolded and re shaped. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. 2^nd Timothy 2:20 & 21

This is the year two-thousand and nine we are not under the old commandments of the church that said it was only the pastors job to read the Word of god or to minister the Word. The Word of God is no longer chained to the pulpit it is out in the open for ever one not only to see, read but also to act upon.

James says this

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Back in the seventies when there was the Jesus Movement you would see young people of all ages going about telling others about what Jesus did for them. There was many souls saved and the church population swelled to the point were some churches had to expand. You also would see countless numbers of tracts being passed out also explaining the saving knowledge of Jesus. In due time you would find less and less people out telling others about Jesus. Perhaps they got discouraged, perhaps they ran out of money to pay for the tracts, gas for the cars but soon and even now you find extremely few telling people the Good News of Jesus.

Why is not one telling about the Way the Truth and the Light? Perhaps it is they would rather curl up on their couch and watch sports on television or maybe even a movie. Or maybe they would rather go to a restaurant and indulge in a meal. while others are being sucked into the kingdom of darkness. Or maybe the old mentality of “it’s the preachers job” has returned. No matter who or what is to blame people are being lost. And it is high time that God’s people get back to the operating in the very ministry God has given them to begin with…. The ministry of reconciliation as stated in 2^nd Corinthians chapter five as it reads starting in verse seventeen through verse twenty-one;

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Years ago, before there ever was a Twitter or a Facebook you would find Christians in various chat rooms. There you could find, from time to time people accepting Jesus for the first time. Today, you will find Christians on what they call social networking sites talking about things that have nothing to do with the very Lord who pulled them from the very pits of hell. They would rather talk about the right to bare arms or something political like degrading the very President of these United States..

It is high time god’s people get back to the basics of their Christian walk. That is unless he or she is ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 9:33

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

If you are a born again Christian and have neglected your ministry of reconciliation there is good news there is forgiveness. And you can again return being a fruitful person for the Kingdom of God.

For as it is written; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1^st john 1: 9

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and would like to go from the kingdom of darkness and sin into the kingdom of light you too can enter into this marvelous light. All you need to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleans you from all unrighteousness. It is as simple as that and not only does your new life begin but so does the journey of freedom you have never known.

Your next step is to get into a Bible believing church and grow in the knowledge of His Holy Word.

The title of this message was virtually set in stone by the financial magnet Donald Trump and so lets presume that instead of dear old Donald being in charge it is God.

So now allow me to set the stage;

You have a decent job. It pays enough to pay the bills, feeds the family, put food on the table, provides a roof over your head and then there is a little money left over to go to the movies or go to the amusement park or even take a vacation. However, while you’re at work what do you do when your boss gives you an assignment; do you A. do the job asked of you? B you take a long break off the work site only to do the work later? C you don’t do the work at all?

A majority of you would answer that you would choose A and do the work right? However, what if you never did the work at all? What do you think the end result would be? Let’s take a look; The end result is one of the following but you choose the answer.

Does your boss

pat you on the back and tell you did good?
give you some other reward like free tickets to a baseball game or a trip around the world?
after repeated requests to do your job the boss sends you out the door with your bags packed and tells you he will mail you your last check?

Of course after not doing your job after many requests you would find yourself out the door waiting at home for your last check. And not surprisingly your boss would be doing the right thing right?

So now let us take a look at your job performance as a professing Christian.

And as our base we will use the following scriptures; first John 15 1-12 and it reads as follows

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

Now that scripture may sound complex and your job description a little vague. So let us go to another scripture Matthew 28: 19 & 20 and it reads as follows;

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Do those words clarify your job description as a Child of the highest God? Thus, your job, your task, in your walk with the Lord is to tell others about the saving knowledge of Jesus. Therefore, just like an apple tree brings forth apples and not pears your task is to bring forth more people for the Kingdom of Light. That is unless you prefer to see people living for all eternity in eternal damnation.

A vast majority of people professing to be Christians have been running to the Pastor and asking for a ministry. And I just wonder if the pastor is not just scratching his head a time or two. For if, and I say if God’s people were really reading God’s Word they would have seen and known that they already have a job to do. Allow me to show you what God has been saying for countless generations; If you have your Bibles at hand open up to 2^nd Corinthians 5:17-18 and it reads as follows;

Thusly, your task as a born again Christian is to do something that may make you feel uncomfortable and tell others about what Jesus did for not only you, but for the countless thousands upon thousands. For you see, you, yes you are an ambassador for Christ as it is written in 2^nd Corinthians 5: 19-20

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For countless years the church brainwashed the congregations it was the pastors job to reach the lost. Just like they told them that the Word of God was only for them to read. Well, here is the skinny, they lied and countless millions like you have been lied to. That is exactly where Satan wanted them and has held them. Well the lie and the liar is exposed here and now! Now you know the truth and as we know God is truth and in His is no lie.

This means only one thing. As Christians we have a job to do! We represent not only ourselves, not only Jesus, not only God, but we represent the total Kingdom of God. And those who do not do the job God will purge them like a person who is refining gold. The choice is yours and yours alone what will you do with this Man of God named Jesus? Will you be selfish and keep Him to yourself or will you share the love and tell others?

Herein, God, for the most part has issued you your matching orders. He has given you a job to do as one of His ambassadors. What will you do? Will you run away as a coward? Or will you stand tall and do your task with pride and honor?

You need to remember that God loved you so very much and wanted to restore fellowship with you that He gave all He had. So He could have fellowship with you and countless millions like you. God did not do all this just to condemn the world but through Him the world might be saved as it is written in John 3: 17 listen to what God said for yourself; For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Or so that you and me would and could be reconciled to Him.

So dear friend are you going to run away from your task ashamed of what you know? For If you do then you need to consider these words; And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels. As it is written in Luke 9:23-26.

God loves not only you, dear Christian! But god loves the whole world. This is why He gave not just anybody but instead His only Son. So you can have life and life more abundantly. And here is good news for every one.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As it is written in 1^st John 1: 6-9

So, no matter if you never have received Jesus as your Savior or if you have known Him for ages this very day, this very moment can be and should be a time of newness for you. for as it is written.

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2^nd Corinthians 6:2

So which way will you choose? Life eternal with God or eternal damnation with the father of lies? Will you go about in these last days with itching ears only hearing what you want so that you feel good? Or will you obey God’s words and not only accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior but also obey the words of your Commander that gave you orders as well as the ministry of reconciliation.

IF you are saying that you have neglected your duty as a member of the household of faith I have good news for your. And if you are saying that you would like to know this Jesus who gave His life for you so that you can have life and life more abundantly then right this moment won’t you ask Him for forgiveness? But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thane heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. As it is written in Romans 10: 8-10

For this is your time to get things right with God. Which road will you choice this very day?

Updates

It’s not often that yours truly pens an update but since I don’t do so I figured that my followers deserved such. So i you will bear with me I will proceed making his as brief as possible.

Thunderdome Ministries update

As you may know I moved the website over to Weebly dot-com and combined it with Littlethunders Castle. This has saved time when it comes to doing any editing or adding content. Another reasons was that http://www.webs.com stopped allowing users access of usage of the html modules. Many people have left http://www.webs.com over this and I am one of them.

As far as ministry as a whole goes? There is a bright side as the ministry was given a much-needed printer. And I welcome the addition indeed. As for the future of the ministry? Financially speaking I still have to pull money out of my own pocket to meet its various needs as the ministry has not obtained any sponsors. Thankfully the only real costs is that of the domain name and even that will cease due to its costs. And of course the lack of funding prevents the ministry from obtaining a much-needed campus to helping Christians in need of temporary housing.

Personal Update

As you may know already, yours truly is on disability and will never be allowed to work again this has various ramifications in its self and allow me to explain.

My Asus G60 needs a new keyboard and maybe some other work.
Obtaining a new place to live is nearly impossible. What I receive per month is not enough to pay rent on an apartment nor that to make house payments.
Sometimes my 2007 Dodge Caliber needs work and it either has to wait or it does not get done.

All in all between me and the Lord we are doing pretty well and like every human on this planet there are problems that only HE can take care of. Yes I believe in God and His Word, for me there are many proofs that He is indeed real.

Do I need help with housing right in the here and now? The answer is a big surrounding yes. I am in need of at least a 2-3 bedroom ranch styled house, with basement and garage with large lot/50 acres in the Holly or Fenton Michigan area all debt free. This would take me out of my present situation and help with various health issues. Can God provide? Indeed He can. All it takes is one or two individuals who hear His voice to make it become reality. (BTW…God would need to provide the furniture for my “man cave” as i have no furniture as well.)

Rest Easy

This message is complements of one Andrew Peterson who wrote the song titled Rest Easy. In his song you could find many truths that perhaps will speak even to you in some special way, shape or form. Despite how the song ministers to us there seems to be a simple truth of the matter. However, before we get to the punch line, if you will let’s take a look how we got to this point.

When we were kids it seemed we always tried to be better than someone. Whether it be our friends, parents or even our brothers or sisters there was always some type of endeavor to prove we were the better. Remember how it was? You just had to build the better stack of leaves that fell in the fall. In the winter it was the best snowball or snow fort. In the Summer it was how well you mowed the lawn and trimmed the hedges and sidewalks.

On oh that dreaded lawn! Remember if you thought you missed a spot you just had to go and find it and make it right? There was no rest until it was made right by both your parents and yourself. You just knew it had to be perfect if you wanted to get paid for the task. There just was no rest whatsoever.

All this transferred itself into our adult life where we always strived for perfection until we frankly beat out the Jones if you will. You had to have the better house, the better car, the better television set and so on. In the era of CB’s it even was how far could you talk to someone: it was no longer if you could talk to your friend down the street, oh no. Instead it was what country could you talk to next legally/ And by George if you could not do it legally you would try the dark side by going to that certain person who could get you the right equipment for the least amount of price. All in all our life seems to be one of never being able to rest until we proved we were the best.

Does all this gong about move into the realm of our walk with God? Do we unknowingly going about trying to prove to God and other members of the household of faith who we are? Is there some form of doubt in our own mind that we just cannot rest until we prove something to someone and to God?

Let us take a look at Hebrews chapter four and see what it has to say:

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Hebrews 4: 1-11

Now listen, if you will what Matthew Henry has to say about this issue of rest:

“The privileges we have under the gospel, are greater than any had under the law of Moses, though the same gospel for substance was preached under both Testaments. There have been in all ages many unprofitable hearers; and unbelief is at the root of all unfruitfulness under the word. Faith in the hearer is the life of the word. But it is a painful consequence of partial neglect, and of a loose and wavering profession, that they often cause men to seem to come short. Let us then give diligence, that we may have a clear entrance into the kingdom of God. As God finished his work, and then rested from it, so he will cause those who believe, to finish their work, and then to enjoy their rest. It is evident, that there is a more spiritual and excellent sabbath remaining for the people of God, than that of the seventh day, or that into which Joshua led the Jews. This rest is, a rest of grace, and comfort, and holiness, in the gospel state. And a rest in glory, where the people of God shall enjoy the end of their faith, and the object of all their desires. The rest, or sabbatism, which is the subject of the apostle’s reasoning, and as to which he concludes that it remains to be enjoyed, is undoubtedly the heavenly rest, which remains to the people of God, and is opposed to a state of labour and trouble in this world. It is the rest they shall obtain when the Lord Jesus shall appear from heaven. But those who do not believe, shall never enter into this spiritual rest, either of grace here or glory hereafter. God has always declared man’s rest to be in him, and his love to be the only real happiness of the soul; and faith in his promises, through his Son, to be the only way of entering that rest.”

John Darby’s Commentary reads as follows

If the word rest truly means Rest, Restitution and Restoration:

Does this mean that we are attempting to pay God back for what He has done?

You think about that for a moment and in so doing ask yourself this question: Am I trying to pay back God? Frankly, if what Jesus said on the cross when He said “It Is Finished” is correct then we are going about trying to simply pay Him back when there is no need to whatsoever.

Therefore it simply comes down to this in worldly terms: that snow fort you tried to make perfect it is already done. That perfect snowball has already been accomplished. But wait, this also means one other thing and it has to do with your level of doubt in this entire situation.

Have you ever went fishing off the banks of some river? If you put no worm on that hook you could try all the live long day and still catch nothing. So you strive from seven in the morning until three in the afternoon and still have not caught a single fish. Thus there was truly no rest for what was to be your lazy Saturday and you were spouse to wash the car at high noon.

But wait, lets say you bated that hook what do you think would have transpired? It is true to form that if you give a fish something to eat they will tend to tell everyone about it and by high noon you would have caught not only your limit but was able to enjoy the remainder of the day with a washed car and being plopped down in front of the television set able to watch your favorite team in peace and quiet, unless that is a certain someone has given you a honey do list so long you would think it was a Christmas list Santa got from some kid down the street.

The point of the matter is as follows:

1. As Christians we have nothing to prove to God and to others in the faith.

2. We do not have to ever defend God for anything whatsoever. God is very able to defend Himself and more than likely has been doing quite well at the task anyway.

3. Accept the fact that when Jesus said “It Is finished” accept Him at His Word.

4. Realize that you do not have to repay God anything for what He has done.

5. If there is or has been any form of doubt ask His forgiveness and move onward.

I don’t know about you but I feel good when I mow a lawn or trim a hedge and see that it is in such a menner that I can take a long rest until it needs cutting again.

Holiness

Text: in the highest sense belongs to God (Isa. 6:3; Rev. 15:4), and to Christians as consecrated to God’s service, and in so far as they are conformed in all things to the will of God (Rom. 6:19, 22; Eph. 1:4; Titus 1:8; 1 Pet. 1:15). Personal holiness is a work of gradual development. It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance (1 Cor. 1:30; 2 Cor. 7:1; Eph. 4:23, 24). (See SANCTIFICATION.)

Lev 20:7-8

Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God.

8. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you.

1^st peter 1; 15,16

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

What is and is not holiness?

Holiness I don’t believe invovles how big a hot you were to God’s house nor the brand name of a personas shoes or suit. Indeed is is not how high you may jump, how far you can roll on the floor. Furthermore holiness is not how loud a person preaches even if he yells and screams.

In fact most of the time when I read of men like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and even Moses they seemed to be pretty mild mannered, ill clothed, of poor speech.

I tend to think that those men of God who take time every day to sit be really quite to meditate on Gods Word and ways seem to get further.

King David wrote in Psalm chapter one

1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Then in Psalms 47:10 he writes

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge

In order for David to have written these things he had to have known something about them. In other words…. David in all hos troubles, trials, tribulations and storms in his life found the eye of the storm where there is peace . And that peace is with God. And wherever God is there is not only peace but you will find God’s glory and His holiness.

Look at Moses; Dear old Moses had it all. A man after Pharaohs heart. But he gave it all up for the truth.. However after God took him through the refining fire out came a man who would not only set the people free but as we have seen was called to write the very words God spoke to him.

The walk of holiness is a long road. And we face on this earth many storms; some are seemingly never ending. Yet you can rest a sure of this. In the eye of that hurricane or tornado in your life there is peace, love and the ability to have a sound mind.

Funny thing. So many people believe that holiness has something to do with how you dress, how much money you may or may not have. But this is far from the truth. For if holiness were found in earthly things then every man, woman and child found in the scriptures would have to be counted out. Remember it is the foolhish things of this world that confound the wise.

1^st Cor 1:23-31

23. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29. That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31. That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

The godly life, the holy life is there for the taking. A person simply needs to get past the storms of life; the tornados and hurricanes of life if you will and get into the eye of the storm where there is that peace that surpasses all understanding.

Let me share this with you in closing;

When God was about the create man, says a Jewish legend, He took into his counsel the angels that stood about His throne.

“create him not,” says the angel of justice, “for if Thou doest he will commit all kinds of wickedness against his fellow men; he will be hard and cruel and dishonest and unrighteous.” “Create him not.” Said the angel of Truth, “for he will be false and deceitful to his brother-man and even to Thee.” Create him not,” said the angel of Holiness, “ he will follow after that which is impure in Thy sight and dishonor Thee to thy face.”

Then stepped forward the angel of Mercy (God’s best beloved} and said: “Create him, our heavenly Father, for when he sins and turns from the path of right and truth and holiness I will take him tenderly by the hand and speak loving words to him, and then and lead him back to Thee.” — J.A. Clarks

God is calling you, my friend back, He is calling you back from the storms of life. From the life of sin and grief. He is calling you my beloved back to the eye of the storm where there is peace and holiness. That my friend is a place where no man of any nation can take you.

Now my question is to you this very moment; Are you willing to make the journey ?

God Does This

the following message God laid on my heart several years ago. I present this teaching to you unedited.In the next few weeks it very well could turn up on Thunderdome Ministries website.

Over the last few months I have heard professing Christians saying that God does not punish His people. This dear friend is one of the biggest lies I ever heard coming out of the church today. And let me show you according to scripture why this is so. Now if you believe the Word of God is true and does not lie then we are in agreement at this point so allow me to demonstrate.
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” John 16: 7-11 Mind you those were the very Words of Jesus Himself. And I really don’t believe you are going to call the Son of God a liar are you?
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2nd TI 3:16
“And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” Hebrews 12: 6-11
If God does not correct His people then the Hebrew children wandered in the wilderness for nothing, King Saul lost his empire for nothing and the list of people God corrected in the scriptures was nothing more than a fairy tale. No dear reader God does correct and disciplines and punishes His people otherwise what would the point be of having the Holy Spirit here on earth after Jesus left. What this would be like would be like the days before the flood.
How does God do this by usage of His Word through either prophets teachers, that HE set forth to do HIS work. I am sorry my friend if you believe that God does not punish His people. IF you truly believe this then I highly suggest you get into reading God’s Holy Word and listen to the truth.
God is truth and in Him is no lie!

Psalm 33:4-5“For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.”

Christian Music Video: “Your Love Never Fails”

I chose to put this music video in with this entry for one reason: All the time I was virtually homeless I found that God never once let me down. He provided the sources so I would not only have a roof over my head but food in my stomach. Some may say that it was “just luck” but I tell you the truth this all came down to one thing. Gods love and Word never once failed me.

To me what transpired was what Acts 1:3 pens as “many infallible proofs.” Never once did I consider going to a homeless shelter as I knew in my heart and from past experience that God always provides a way. Furthermore HE is always there even when I may not even think it.

It is good to be back on-line so I can share a little of what was taking place over the last several weeks. Right now I am renting a room in a nice house from a friend until I move into my very first home that will have my name on the shingle.

“Warmer Climate.” He said

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, “ Ephesians 2:4

Several years ago my doctor suggested that I move to a warmer climate due to health issues. At the time I was okay but truly not perfect. The medications seemed to help as long s I remembered to take them. Still I knew God had a goal in mind for my life and I did not heed the doctors.

Sometimes we, as Christians, tend to forget that we are humans made in Gods image. Thus we think. and or even believe, we are super humans sort of like Superman. Never once have I seen Superman sick a day in his life. So whether it is our own ego or the Superman complex we press on towards the high calling of Jesus Christ.

One of the reasons I did not pursue moving south was due to the very reality of the cost of living. For example if your bank account says one thing and the cost of just an apartment is another what do you do? For certain you attempt to not go hungry. Instead you balance the checkbook both in your mind and on paper. Then if there appears to be enough you move forward. And so you press on towards the mark of the high calling of Jesus the very best you can; even if there are naysayers.

Do I wish I could move down south were it is warm? of course I do but one has to consider other things in the process. Am I better off now than before because I did not move? In many ways yes, even if it does not appear so to the human eye.

The very God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob still directs our lives even if you can not see Him. It takes a normal human to be able to see the many infallible proofs that He is as real today as He was yesterday. You have to simply have to walk by faith and hope that each step you take is the one HE wants you to travel.

I order for you to know HIM you need to be able to listen to HIS voice.

Can you hear what He is saying to you today? After all HE is calling you. And maybe, just maybe He is saying, “move to a warmer climate.”

It’s Bad! Really?

In life we all know far to well that there will be good days and bad days, When times are good we rejoice and try to have enjoy it, sometimes even with friends. However, when things go bad it seems like you don’t have a friend on this place we call Earth. And so I share with you a life experience that rocked my world that I perhaps will never forget. Why would I tell you? In our life a little rain must fall. However. in my case the entire Amazon River was dropped on me and I now will move onward.

Recently this writer attempted to buy a house in Burton Michigan. In fact it would have been a nice place for a single person to live in. AS days past I even began working on ideas for the two bedroom house. After all here is a single guy who likes such things as exotic cars. the NASA space program and of course Pirates of the Caribbean. So here I was about ready to make a major move in my life. Then it falls apart.

In the beginning I was informed not to talk to the seller, but the seller attends the same church and we are also friends. At this point a red flag goes up and then some interesting facts arose. The end result was truly not good but when you look back on the entire situation one could see the Holy Spirit at work doing the directing. It is sad to say the least but the very same God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob truly kept everything in its proper place. Was there hurt feeling? Indeed there were and on one certain day I thought I was listening to some sheep in wolfs clothing.

No matter how big or little a storm in our life may be there are these interesting things a Christian can do and they are as follows

Trust in the Lord “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. “ Proverbs 3:4-5
Be an overcomer. Use the tools God has laid out for you in HIS written Word. Even in the book of Revelation it talks about seven churches who needed to overcome something in their life.
Listen to the Lord’ “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 and then Psalm 1:1-2 says “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

Remember this one simple thing: in everyone’s life a little rain must fall, What you do during that time can either make you or brake you. If you listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit HE will direct your path for HE teaches and guides us in all things. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. “John 14:26

AS you walk and talk with HIM make sure you spend time listening to Him. Why? because HE will direct your path regardless how foolish others may think or believe it may be. In otherwords, dear reader, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. “ 1st Timothy 6:12 and when its is nearly done you too will be able to utter these words, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2nd Timothy 4:7

In closing. dear Christian. remember this: YOU are a member of the body of Christ. YOU have friends and a family all because you are of the household of faith. If you are having troubles, et with someone who can help. Smile
