While he does have an array of talents let it be known that he very well may be called upon to use such since the ministry has such a lack in Christian volunteers at this point.

 Lastly

I for one am unsure why the human race would ask such a question but I have my own theory.

Allow me, if you will, to show you some reasoning for people to ask this question.

• they know the answer but they are seeking a way out of doing something that may take them out of their own comfort zone.
• if one believes Gods Word they are attempting to find rhyme or reason to disobey God’s Word.
• the person is, for the most part, self centered  let alone a selfish being and cares not for others only himself.

Now I wonder, just for a moment, if any or all of the above is true in one form or another. There may be another reasoning for not becoming ones brothers keeper; the legal ramification. There are after all many things that could go wrong in a big way. If that transpires a person could, for all intents and purposes, cause financial ruin. With that said then there would be of course the fear factor.

However let us look at  a situation and see if we could develop a solution:

Let us say for a moment that you have a brother or sister would you allow a family member to suffer in the following circumstance? You find you family member is living in a house or apartment that is littered with mice and various types of  bugs and insects. Could you allow that family member to live in that  environment?

Now many people who sit in the very pews of this countries churches are seemingly allowing the above situation to transpire right under their very noses. Some will say “God will bless you in the end” or even half heartily they might say “If there is anything we can do let us know” and they know that they are in hopes that the person will never call because they really did not mean what they said.

Here is the sad thing that is transpiring in these United States of America. It is happening to someones mother, father sister or brother and it seems like not a soul really cares.  We have people, some in the very household of faith, who are living on disability. Because rent is so high in many nice apartment complexes they are forced to live where those mice and bugs seemingly have free reign. For you see, right here in these United States of America from our so called sea to shining sea the rich are getting richer and the  hungry get hungrier still. While those with funding can afford the five,six seven or eight hundred dollars a month rent. While those on disabilities have to endure the hardship of those landlords who refuse to get things fixed or even get the place sprayed for bugs.

If you are reading this and are a professing Christian I wonder why you allow your brother or sister in the faith to live like mentioned above. Are you now saying that you are just like the remainder of society who truly does not care?  If this is so then are you not living a lie and you actually hope that you do not get caught it it?

So now I wonder this:  does the scripture “as you have done this to the least of these you have done it to me.” Does it simply mean that all we are to care about is those who are hungry , sick or in prison it does not go to those who are disabled and those who lack in funding?

Do yourself a huge favor; read Matthew chapter twenty-five verses thirty-five to forty-six then  you ask God the same question as a man years ago “Am I my brothers keeper?” IF you can say yes I am my brothers keeper will you then go the next step? If you are willing to go the next step will you ask your Pastor if there is someone, regardless of his or her past,  that you can help?

                             Allow this writer to offer some suggestions if you turly believe you are your brothers keeper:

•  offer to rent out a second or even third nice house that you might have for the same price s/he is paying at the present time. Making sure the person can or can not afford to pay the utilities. If they can not afford to pay the utilities then make it included with the rent.
• Offer to give someone anywhere from $50-$100 to help cover some of life’s little extras such as buying toilet paper, paper towels and various cleaners for various parts of the home.
• offer to take them out once in a while to a movie or out to dinner
• take the person shopping either for things for the house,  cloths  or even for food.
• Do not just say you are their friend be a friend by inner acting with them freely. A little friendship can go a long ways.

Naturally i was cautious of this fellow who, if dressed in a Santa Clause costume, might remind you of ol’ Saint Nick himself. What turned me on to this person was his vast knowledge of God’s Word. If you asked him were a scripture was he could give you its address(location) in a heartbeat.  Then there was his method of reaching people for the Lord God Himself: It seems that he found the right chord, the right method, that could enable himself to lead one to the Lord within minutes. On one certain hospital visit that we did together he lead someone down the Romans Road and to the place of salvation  between the second and third floors while on the elevator. Needless to say I was amazed and stunned all at the same time. It is not that I could not have done the same but my methods are different and I can lead people through the sinners prayer as well. What shocked me was the speed that it took.

As time passed we took many road trips to various parts of the United States sharing the Good News about Jesus. We were in Ashland Ohio when we were teaching a church how to evangelize their own neighborhoods. As proof we took a group of Christians out into the streets just around the church. Within one hour forty people came to know the Lord and are now heaven bound. I was amamzed even to this day how easy it is to reach the world and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The biggest question however really was not if you knew the Lord as your personal savior but the same question I am about to ask you. In all the years I have asked this question only about five people, and these are Christians, knew the answer. Now I will ask you the same question and if you do not know the answer then do yourself a favor and find someone who does.

Do you know what the elementary teaching of Christ are?

 Here is your two hints: #1 The answer in in God’s Word and #2 it is found in the book of Hebrews

If you are a member of the household of faith and do not have a mentor it is advised that you find one even today.

What does the above say about Christian society today? Have those in the faith become like those in the very temple Jesus chased out with a whip? Are some professing Christians actually money changers?  If the Christians of today lived in the time of Moses when he came down off  Mount Zion what would have God done?

Then too allow me to ask you this question; does te acts of the Christians mentioned in the book of  Acts reflect that of how Christians are to act towards others seven days a week?  How about we read a little of what is in Gods Word:

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common;  And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.     Acts 2: 39-47

Why does the world mock and ridicule the church? I think it is because they do not se what we see in the above scriptures. When you share love you get love in return. Think of it this way; God demonstrated unto the world His ove for us by giving us His only Son. So how much more could the church today share Gods love with the society of today?

• IF you are in need of food, clothing and better housing ask GOd to bring forth the right person to assist you on your way in peace.
• If you are a Christian will you make your hands His hands and help  not only those in need of food, clothing and better housing. But also help those who are disabled. For you see as you do it to the least of these you do it unto Him. Make your hands demonstrate what HIS hands can do; not just to those in your church but to those who live about you.

FOOTNOTE

Did you know that those on disability who are on Food Stamps might very well ve eating only one meal a day if not every other day? Its is true! The reason is that often they are afraid they will not have enogh food to last them until the following month.  Some receive so little that it figure out to be that they only get to spend $1.50-$2.50 per day in food if not less.  Now ask yourself this question; If I  were on disability and or on Food Stamps could I more forward with only one meal a day. And by the way sometimes that only meal may consist of nothing more than a sandwich nothing more and indeed less.  Now ask yourself could you do what these people do every day and every month some even for the rest of their lives?

Why are American, including Christians, sending food to other countries like Russia, India and Africa when there are people of all races and creeds going without right here in the United States? Is it perhap time we say enough is enough and really make sure  the people in American have a decent roof over their head free of mice and bugs and enough food in the pantry to last 2 months?

Hunger in the United States has to stop for all races, creeds and colors!

If we do not fight for our rights now then government will think we are dead. We need to stand together and tell Congress and the White House… leave the world wide web alone.

AS time marches forward so does one common fact; all things do not last forever. This includes batteries for laptop. Every few years you just have to replace them.
