Will You? God Will

All through my ChristiaImagen walk I have seen His hand in many aspects of the lives of my friends and even personally. Many things I just can not explain how God did it but He did and He does. One case in point was a very bad auto accident was in with my freshly repainted and restored 1979 Ford Fiesta. The fireman said that if it had not been for the sunroof more than likely I would have died as my head was sticking out of a collapsed sunroof. (see photo) Thus I like the phrase in Acts chapter one verse two where it reads “many infallible proofs” for that describes how God has demonstrated that He is indeed alive and not dead as many may say. But I am not here today to tell you about how I know He is real in my life. Instead I want to tell you that many times in life He uses people to get things done.

What I am about to share with you will tale the work of His people to get this task done, But before I tell you any more allow me to share with you a pictureImage. The house you see is a three bedroom two and a half bath home in what is registered as in Holly Michigan. Yet it lays less than  two miles from Faith City Church on Thompson Road. Now here is the story about this certain place:

Back about eight months ago I seen this house for sale and dismissed it as I would had rather had a nice ranch styled home. About a week ago a sister in the faith seen his very same house and believed that this is the house for me. I told her nothing about this location until she had her say. Then the question arose, why would God show me the house eight months ago and now again through someone else in the faith unless His hand was included in it.

Pardon me now but here is where the faith of those in the Christ Jesus needs to come into play: The cost of the house is a mere $200000 not including closing costs, taxes and so forth. Thus we are believing the Lord will come through with at least $300000 plus costs to buy needed furniture and cleanup costs of the barns and so forth. Fact of the matter is as follows. I do not have that kind of money laying about in any bank or even in my wallet, neither does any of my friends in the faith. However God does have such funds and even more to cap it off.  This would be the ideal location  for Thunderdome Ministries Network Inc to help Christian men in need of temporary housing.

With all the above said I wonder if you have the faith to see this as not only my first house but a place where the work of the Lord could proceed as God sees fit. Mind you this is less than two miles from the church and out in the country.. This would make it very hard for any person to reach out to ones past. Instead it would allow a person a fresh start, a second chance if you will. After all how many second chances has God given to you and members on your family? Thus the question is as follows: will you be a part of a ministry that desires to help people? Will you reach out and touch the hands of someone you don’t even know? Will you perhaps even go as far as becoming a sponsor?

I am not asking you for a million dollars, not even ten thousand dollars to help buy this house lock stock and barrel. Making it a debt free piece of property. However I am asking you to give as the Holy Spirit leads you in order to make this all reality.

If you feel the leading for the Lord to help the Paypay donate button is for your use below. Remember this: the very same God who has not only given me and you a second chance in life wants to do so in the lives of others. So, beloved will you help “the least of these” or will you turn your back in defiance?

Trial Webpage…. its up to you

Over the last year  some have made mention that I don’t put up enough graphics. Frankly I was shocked by this as blogging in nothing but a shorter form of writing a book. And since we are all adults I did not think having graphics was important. After all the works of any good writer like Hemingway and Clemens really never inserted graphics.

With all that said I considered two issues. One inserting more graphics or create a website/webpage with graphics as its focal point. The end result was that I created a webpage where you can pick up graphics for your website free of charge. This is on a trail basis and I will be looking at the stats to see if the page is worth keeping or maybe even dropping. Everything falls on the visitors shoulders as to its future.

Now for the part you have been waiting for, the address of the webpage: the page name is FREEBIE GRAPHICS and you can find it at http://littlethunderscastle.weebly.com/freebie-graphics.html

You are free to copy any graphic to your own computer/laptop but do not link it back to the webpage. Thus its a matter of a simple right click to save it as your own. I often will change the name of the graphic and I would expect you to do the same.  If the page is successful I will then change over the graphics on a monthly basis to keep the page fresh. This means only one thing. you will need to bookmark the page for the future. I hope you like the page and will tell others of it. Remember, as freely as you receive so you should freely give.

Again the webpage address is as follows…… http://littlethunderscastle.weebly.com/freebie-graphics.html

Have a nice weekend and drive carefully and make sure you buckle-up!

ITs Not Just A Summer Sport} Photography

One of my favorite hobbies is photography. There is nothing that I know of can capture a point in time and hold it for eternity.

Back in the 1970’s I took a course in photography and fell in love with it. Back then there was no such thing as a digital point and shoot cameras. Back then everything was recorded on film. And so the class instructor showed us how to develop film out of a common cereal bowl. Of course you would not want to eat out of that bowl afterwards but the point was made.

There is a common misconception with people who own cameras. That being you can only take pictures in the summer or when the weather is decent. However, photography is not a summer sport. Allow me to explain: if you take the right precautions you can take really nice pictures of winter time fun and scenery.

Here are  some tricks in brief format:

  • Its all about timing and temperatures.  If you are going to be outside keep the camera in a warm place such as a shirt pocket where its close to receiving heat from our own body.  Having it in a coat pocket just does not keep it as warm as it should be.
  • Never leave your camera in the car regardless what time of year it is. Cars et both very hot or very cold and the moving parts in the camera are not meant to tolerate such extremes.
  • Before you leave the house make sure your battery in the camera is fully charged. The most frustrating thing is having a dead battery when your about to take a shot.
  • If and when possible remove old pictures from the camera. This will give you more digital room you may need, more so if your at an event like a parade, auto show and so forth. If possible take an extra SD card with you in case you  do do overshoot your limit.
  • Plan ahead. So your going outside in the cold and snow and so forth so you should plan ahead what kind of pictures you want. If your looking for winter time scenery then look for things that catch your eye. If your taking pictures of people allow them to be themself. Case in point: if they are skiing or sledding don’t ask them to stop learn how to pan a shot.
  • Learn for others.  Most libraries have a magazine section and should have such about photography.   When you look at a picture  study it out. See if you can tell how they took the shot. Then ask yourself if you could do the same.
  • Editing. many cameras have some sort of built in software where you can edit the picture in the camera. While this is a nice feature it is better to edit it on your computer where your not in a hurry. When editing always keep the original picture on file. You will keep the original as proof that you took it and you may want to crop parts of it out to use for creating a website.

This long holiday you can have all kinds of fun both indoors and yes even outside with your camera. Just remember that your camera is not human and needs to taken care of regardless of the season. After all photography is not just a summer sport.

Was the above helpful? Informative? There is so much to learn about the art of photoraphy that really the above just does not do it justice. Thus I recommend you pick up a book from your local library or from your favorite book store and learn a little bit of the does and don’t s of this fine art.

Ministry Update

State Capital

From the humble beginnings of Thunderdome Ministry there was an honest desire to move forward in helping Christians coming out of prison life to re-adjust to a different form of society.  After many years, prayer and tears I have found that the ones Jesus classified as  “the least of these” just was not receiving proper sponsorship to build a  proper campus. Truth of the matter is this, not one red cent was ever received towards this goal. Was it an over reach? Was it the hardness of the heart that it never bore fruit? I frankly am unsure but after all this time it is time to move onward and pray that someone else with take up the cause.

The New Mission

The new mission is as follows, thus leaving the old one behind.

Due to recent events in my own life it has come to my attention that there are Christians who are or could be going through what I went through. Being virtually homeless while waiting to buy a home.  It is not easy living virtually hand to mouth relying on friends and wondering where your next meal is coming from.

It is not your fault that the process in buying a house is slow. It is after all a matter of crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s making sure nothing come back to bite you at a later date. Thus here is the vision. or goal if you please:

Build and or buy a house or two where a single Christian can live up to six months out of a year while in the process of buying a house. As he was under the roof of Thunderdome Ministries he would /could continue working at his place of employment.  He would be required to pay rent and help offset the cost of food provided. He would.. be required to attend daily devotions and attend church. As a Christian home of course there would be no smoking, drinking or doing illegal  drugs on or off property.  Many people want to own a home of their own instead of renting apartments or renting rooms. Thus, this vision, this goal is truly workable. All that is needed are sponsors to help proceed in obtaining the right house to begin the program. There is a side note to this: unlike low income housing where they undergo background checks this program will not consist of such. Thus if a Christian did time behind bars  and has been released then s/he has paid his debt to society and has a clean slate.

If the above  vision sounds right and proper and you would like to help in this project an email will be furnished below where you can obtain the address where you can send forth your sponsorship fund**

Always remember the story of  what transpired in the early church when a husband and wife held back from the Lord. Read Acts 4:34-5:37 they paid a terrible price for their desires. Please do not make the same mistake as they did.

For information on where you can send your sponsorship dollars please contact the following aniart106

May God richly bless you as you bless others in this project of importance.

Yours in the faith and knowledge of Jesus who is the Christ

Christian Music Video: “Your Love Never Fails”

I chose to put this music video in with this entry for one reason: All the time I was virtually homeless I found that God never once let me down. He provided the sources so I would not only have a roof over my head but food in my stomach. Some may say  that it was “just luck” but I tell you the truth this all came down to one thing. Gods love and Word never once failed me.

To me what transpired was what Acts 1:3  pens as  “many infallible proofs.” Never once did I consider going to a homeless shelter as I knew in my heart and from past experience that God always provides a way. Furthermore HE is always there even when I may not even think it.

It is good to be back on-line so I can share a little of what was taking place over the last several weeks.  Right now I am renting a room in a nice house from a friend until I move into my very first home that will have my name on the shingle.

Please take a few moments and watch the following video.

Thank you for your time, prayers and concerns. And now the video from Jesus Culture titled Your Love Never Fail

Almost Here(aka end of the year website tip)

Okay, here you and me are here stuck on this place called Earth. Proceeding further we are finding our-self drawing closer and closer to the last few major holidays left in this year. So what does one do if s/he has a website? So in this writing I will attempt to show you what could be done to your website, whether it be a personal or business site. Certain things ought to be done.

September 2013 } search for royalty free holiday graphics. This can be done starting with the search engine Bing. As you search for graphics save what you like onto your computer. While doing so create various folders for what the graphic will be used for such as banners, backgrounds and so forth.

October 2013 } create a practice website in your html editor. Create different looks, textures that make you feel right. If you find your going to use tables then practice with various looks and layouts. If you do not have an html editor you should be able to find one or two at www.cnet.com

Early November 2013 } by now you should have two maybe three designs for your holiday website. Now you get to choose which one you will start the holidays with. Keep this in mind your website needs to come up within 5-10 seconds, this is critical. Any loner than 10 seconds you could find your visitors moving onward. If you live in the USA then you should have a website that celebrates Thanksgiving for the month of November and in December one that has a Christmas look and feel.

Early December 2013 } your Christmas themed site should be up by really no later than the 15th of the month and running until December 26th. Then and only then you have the option of doing a New Years themed website.

Early January 2014 } If you created a New Years themed website then you could leave it up and running until January 3rd  or the fifth at the latest. After the holidays you can return your website back to its original look and feel if you so choose or you may want to recreate the website with a new look and feel for  the first 3-6 months of the new year.

Some graphics to help you get started with your search

Christmas graphics etc etc/

I hope that this entry will serve you well in the months ahead. Have a great day!

Lessons Learned and Passed On

FIrst allow me to thank all those who follow this writers rantings! I never expected that what I said would go so far.

Today I want to share with you a lesson that has been learned and put to well use. I hope by you reading this that you too will take certain precautions in saving the material on your system.

Having been on the World Wide Web ten years plus gives a person some experience that is used from time to time. In this case it was when I moved all the graphics I use for my websites to  several flash drives. In all it took close to 10 gigs worth of flash drives.  In order to keep from losing those flash drives I put them in a safe deposit box in the bank for safe keeping.  Little did I know how important this step would become.

Over the weekend of  July 12-14 my laptop had a problem, it just refused to finish start-up. At this point I was thankful for some of Microsoft’s built-in various aspects and i proceeded to move forward with such fixes. However, after a good hour it was fruitless and the only thing I could do was a full system restore. Was I able to gain access to all my files and graphics before hand? The answer was a big no, it was impossible to go any further as the system world not fully start-up.

For 27 straight hours I spent bringing my Asus 660VX laptop  back to health. This also meant that there was 161 Microsoft updates that needed to be taken care of before I could tackle the remainder of the restoration; we are talking about years worth of bookmarks and Firefox & Internet Explorers add ons. When 5pm Sunday rolled around I had finished the task except for getting the flash drives from the safe deposit box that lay in the bank vault.

Now, and I hope you are still reading this are the pros and cons about doing a restoration:

CONS:   #1 all the time you are without  a system wether it be a laptop or desktop you will be without a line to the World WIde Web.    #2.  You will lose all your data that you saved and worked on. #3 you may lose sleep when you undergo such a restoration.

PROS:  #1 If you are like me and like to try new and different software doing a restoration is a good way of ridding your system of unwanted, or needed, software. #2 by doing a restoration you free up much-needed  disk space, Thus giving you a clean slate to work with until your next system failure.

It is important that you save as much data on either an external hard drive or even on flash drives. If you choose the latter make sure you put those flash drives in a safe place. You can save your flash drives either in you’re in home safe or at your local banks safe deposit box.

Footnote to readers:

In this entry I made sure to give links back to various parts of the WOrld Wide Web that I do believe you may want or need later on. Just remember to save everything you may need back, including bookmarks and passwords.

PS.. someones birthday is coming up in about eleven days I think that person would like something from his/her wish list @ WISH LIST FOR A FRIEND  so there is still time to et that person a gift.

Have areat day and play it safe!
